Paneer Lehsooni is one of the most interesting and tasty paneer recipes of all time. The main focus of flavour in this recipe is the garlic flavour. 

Let's talk about it's name, the Lehsooni term is derived from a hindi word lehsoon which means garlic. Paneer Lehsooni is a very tasty dish which has a very strong flavour of garlic and you can feel the garlic in every bite. 

So without any further delay let's get straight into the recipe.

Ingredients:-

For the gravy

- 5 medium tomatoes
- 3 medium onion
- 10 kaju
- 1 inch ginger dice
- 10 garlic clove
- 2 elaichi
- 1 TSP jeera gota
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tspTurmeric powder
- Salt 
- Water 500 ml

For the main dish

- 1 inch ginger(Julienne)
- 1/2 cup garlic cloves
- 1 TSP jeera gota
- Green chillies 2
- 1 medium Onion diced 
- Prepared gravy
- 1/2 cup whisked curd
- 1 TSP sugar for balancing the flavour
- Salt 
- Garam masala powder 1 tsp
- 1 TSP kasoori methi
- Paneer 200 grams
- Fresh cream 2 tbsp
- Butter 1 tbsp (optional) 
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves

How to make it?

For the gravy

1) Add 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add jeera and fry for 30 seconds.

2) Now add all the ingredients and mix well.

3) After a minute add the water and cover and cook this for 15-20 minutes.

4) After 15 minutes let the boiled ingredients cool down.

5) After cooling grind to form a fine paste

For the main recipe

6) Take a pan and add some oil and cumin seeds and sauté for half a minute.

7) Add the ginger, green chillies, onion and garlic, mix well and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.

8) Further add the prepared gravy, stir, mix and cook for 30 seconds.

9) Low down the flame and add the wishked curd, sugar and salt and mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes ir more till the gravy is cooked well. (Stir the gravy at regular intervals after adding curd)

10) Increase the flame to medium heat.

Add garam masala and Kasoori methi, mix well and add the paneer cubes.

11) Further add the cream and butter and and turn off the flame.

12) You can add some coriander leaves for Garnishing and your paneer Lehsooni is ready to be served .

Note:-

*You can fry as well as add the raw paneer cubes.

*Adding butter increases the taste.

*Always add the curd after switching to low flame or turning the flame off.

*After adding the curd make sure to stir the gravy at regular intervals.
