Today I will tell you an amazing recipe of how to make veg chilli using semolina/sooji. This is an instant snack which you can make when guests come surprisingly at your home. This recipe is very easy and can be made using very few ingredients.
So, let's get started!
Assembling all the ingredients:
- 1 cup semolina(Sooji)
- 4 tsp coriander leaves
- 2 green chillies (Sliced)
- Salt (As per taste)
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 cup water (Adjust as per requirment)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp chilli sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp soya sauce
- 1 onion diced
- 1 capsicum diced
- 1 tsp corn starch/arowroot
How to make?
1. Take 1 cup semolina and add salt, coriander leaves, Green chillies, garam masala, coriander powder and mix well.
2. Add the water at certain time intervals and mix well till you get thick batter.
3. Now heat a pan and add some oil in it.
4. When the oil is hot enough add the batter in tne form of small balls in the oil anf fry them till they become brownish in colour.
5. After frying all the balls take another pan and add 1 tbsp oil.
6. And start heating it till smoke comes out of the oil.
7. Now add the ginger-garlic paste and toss it once.
8. Add the onion, capsicum pieces, and some salt, black pepper and toss them.
9. Add 1 cup water, tomato sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar, soya sauce and mix them well till the gravy starts boiling.
10. Take a bowl and add 1/2 cup water and 2 tsp corn starch and mix it well.
11. Add the corn starch mix in this gravy and mix it well on high flame.
12. When the gravy starts boiling add the fried balls and toss them.
Your veg chilli is ready to be served. Enjoy it with chow mein or fried rice.
